hmm i'm torn between writing something short, so people won't be further traumatized when they see the post beneath (yes the overly long, gargantuan - 'gargantuan' is a thoroughly lovely word i say - post on the uk trip, which is both worth and not worth reading at the same time), and writing something lengthy, so that no one will ever get to the draggy post beneath. but uhh, i shall just write something short (of course, definitely not sweet), because i'm lazy. :O

so anyway, i am now a proud owner of one refrigerator-shelf-full of chocolates! :D [it was originally two shelves full, until my mum decide to remove some of the wrappers and chunk them all into one box. yes, and in the process of doing so, throwing the wrappers for the mozart chocolates away (!!). granted, mozart isn't exactly my favourite composer, but still!] haha and today my mortal gave me a bag of chocolates, so uhh, my chocolate collection just expanded to even larger proportions. oh, and just to complement my chocolate collection, i have a chocolate wrapper collection. if you happen to snigger, kindly stop.

finally we're going on to poetry for literature! :D not that i can't stand tkmb or anything, but well, somehow i just want to put it all behind me (for reasons undisclosable, even though they probably are known to most already). anyway, it's kind of ironic to think that i'm such a great fan of poetry now, considering i used to dislike poetry quite a bit, to say the least. [similarly with geography, though i reckon i still have reason to dislike it to some extent, considering how my grades fluctuated last year.] i wish we did more singaporean literature though; the thought of sonnets horrifies me, mildly. (and hmm, i think that's a bit of an understatement.) but then, michelle shall not get prejudiced and make stupid assumptions. now, why does this remind me vaugely of tkmb?!

[i just realized i'm going on in a totally incoherent style, but who cares!] thought philips' collection of the great pianists of the 20th century was really cool - like hey, 200 cds! and well, throw in a couple of names like ashkenazy, michelangeli, cortot, argerich and horowitz -- you get the idea. but apparently it isn't particularly good for building up a music library of composers / pieces, 'cos you get quite a bit of repetition. yeah it's good to hear different interpretations, especially when they come from acclaimed pianists, but uhh, perhaps 5 renditions of the entire set of 24 chopin preludes is a tad too much. (hmm i didn't know masters loved chopin preludes that much. but then, perhaps there's something in them i have yet to appreciate. hmm.) ohwell, at any rate i laugh at the freakish prices. sorry, but i don't have 2 grand - and i've got a very bad feeling that that's in us dollars - to spare for my birthday / christmas present, not that anyone else would have actuallly.

last point (i think?): i don't like it when teachers make it outright clear that you have to do this-this-that-that to get into tdp, or ra, or anything of that sort. it somehow defeats the purpose of learning - i mean, if you're really interested in the subject, you'd naturally show your 'innate sense of curiousity' and stuff? stating it outright would 1) inspire people to just ask questions, put effort into their work etc. just for the sake of getting into tdp and 2) make those who are truly interested in the subject seem as if they're doing it all for tdp and stuff, because we know there are always people who well, think on the negative side. but then, in a way the teachers have it tough too, 'cos if you don't make it clear outright there are bound to be questions at the end.

grawr i am horrendously incoherent, and my thoughts go in circles. this is bad.

and ahaha i laugh at myself. a short post indeed.

lives, writes, sings, plays the piano, and attempts to sound intellectual at times (conclusion: fails rather miserably).

loves music (almost strictly classical, hurhur & inclusive of faziolis!), literature (& also the sciences - no they are not in conflict), making hopelessly lame puns, laughter, white/milk chocolate, cheesecake, the world & the people in it. list not exhaustive, by the way.

wants the world to be filled with peace, joy and love, and also wants (perhaps a little more selfishly) to be happy, plus lead a life of purpose. that would be more than enough. (:

oh, and she likes embarking on her own 'free hugs!' campaigns after exams and the like; not really sure why. D: (at any rate, you can tell that she's random enough.)

loves you!♥

very plain, she knows; but this is probably herself in its entirety - nothing more than a compilation of perhaps-boring-to-you little things (and the occasional Important Event), but also nothing less than all the brilliant memories which constitutes her life, and perhaps yours.

also interpreted as an inability to express with other things but words (nothing more, nothing less!), although even words sometimes won't do enough. but she does like orange.

v2.0 (230208): maybe solid grey isn't that fantastic after all. but wordy is good, all the same. she's weird, she knows.

ver. i-pretend-that-it-is-3.0-when-i-know-it-is-not (070608): i am boring, take that. (:

v4.0 (200908): got bored, so cut down on the quasi-fanciful stuff even more. perfectly plain now, though somehow the background still doesn't work on safari / google chrome. ):
